Meet the Music Maker

Location: Dr. Duke's Office
Timeline: Friday August 28, 1992

Dr. Duke looked over De Luca's file once more to refresh his memory, before calling the man into his office. He nodded as made mental notes before standing and straightening his lab coat. He didn't work at a Doctor's practice anymore but old habits die hard and the extra pockets were nice. He opened his office door and spoke, "Mr. De Luca please."

Anthony looked up at the man who had called him. "You must be Doctor Drake. Pleasure too meet you" he steps into the office and takes a look around, taking off his sunglasses so he could hear everything. "So Doc, I read your looking for a music teacher?"

"Pleasure to meet you too Mr. De Luca, Please have a seat," Dr. Duke said before sitting in his high backed leather office chair. "Yes sir we are looking for a music teacher, it looks like you have some experience there, care to expand on that?"

Take a seat in front of the desk "Well, I mean I can play music, I taught myself how too read music so In theory I could teach others how to play. Start a school band? But I think you must have an alternate reason for tracking me down other then too teach. I know I am not easy to find."

"You are correct, obviously you will be here to help teach, but our secondary mission is to help young mutants who are developing their powers. I've tried to find adults who can relate to what these kids will be dealing with. We will also need to do things to protect them whatever that may entail," the doctor explained.

Anthony nods and stare straight at the doctor as he speaks. "I can get behind making sure the kids end up alright. And I hear that light extra stress behind the whatever that may entail. So, would I be staying here and how would I be getting paid? I don't exactly have a banking account to deposit a check into"

"We have rooms here for the faculty and students, and payments can be made in cash or check. We understand the need for discretion. You will also be assigned your own room for classes, I know you haven't been through the rest of the manor yet, but it's three stories not counting the basement, in fact after this meeting you can wonder through and check everything out before lunch arrives," Duke said before taking a sip of his coffee. "De Luca, do you have any reservations, about joining us and our mission here?"

"Nah, I am all for giving kids a better chance then I had. So if you're offering a job, I'll take it" extends his hand to the doc.

The Doc stood and shook De Luca's hand, "I look forward to working with you sir. Lunch will be arriving soon so don't go to far. It will be served in the large room near the entrance. Do you have any questions for me before you go?"

"Do I have to wear a suit? Is it full professional or semi professional, or casual?"

"It's business casual, blue jeans and a Polo shirt or button up shirt during school hours. The rest of the just don't go through the mansion in a Speedo, there will be kids around here," Drake teased.

Anthony grumbles "Great, now i've got to go buy a few Polo's. Well, we still have a weak right? I'll have to do some clothes shopping. And I don't do Speedo's" Smirks "Well doc, is that's it, I have some wondering and shopping that needs to be done"

"Sounds like a plan DeLuca, I think we are going to organize a shopping trip into New Orleans, I'll mention it in the meeting this afternoon and see how it goes. If there's nothing else, go enjoy your lunch and I'll meet up with everyone shortly," the Doctor explained.
